Site Rubix - Not Your Momma's Website Designer

by James Comer

Awesome! Wealthy Affiliate's new website designer software knocked my socks off. Now, I could stop here, but then I'd be doing you a disservice by keeping it to myself and not sharing what Site Rubix is all about. Maybe you are aware- or not- that Wealthy Affiliate has been quietly turning out successful graduates of Affiliate Marketing University quite awhile now. There is just so much information, support, and tools that are cutting edge that the space I have in this article doesn't do it justice.

These days, one of the obstacles for affiliate marketers is website design. It's not that easy to create a clean, professional website. To design a well organized website. Creating an efficient website can literally mean the difference between filet mignon or rice and beans. Speak with anyone who is a successful internet marketer and you'll quickly discover that all you have is a couple of seconds to capture your visitor's attention before they return to the search engine give the sale to someone else.

Your time is best served by focusing your efforts on the most crucial aspect of affiliate marketing. Introducing Site Rubix from the creators of Wealthy Affiliate.

Site Rubix is literally a drag and drop phenomenon you have to see to believe. No Html experience necessary at all. No previous website design experience necessary at all either. You might even want to market your new found web design skills on the side and earn some extra money.

I've got a question for you. How much did you pay for Photoshop the last time you bought it? Could you even afford it? I bet it cost upwards of $500-1000 depending on your area. Though it's a good program- you are not going to need an expensive program like that one. It's capabilities are so vast. The small price you pay pales in comparison to how much similar programs will set you back.

As if I haven't told you enough- what else is Site Rubix capable of? Would you like to be able to duplicate pages or even whole sites with the click of your mouse? You can with Site Rubix.

With Site Rubix you can upload your files right to your site. You'll have the ability to immediately make your websites "Go Live" all without having to have installed FTP programs or other software on your computer

Cinco de Mayo Parties for Kids

Cinco de Mayo, unlike Mother's Day or Father's day, is not just a holiday that is primarily promoted by the greeting card business to increase sales. Instead, it celebrates the date May 5, 1862, which was when the United States and Mexico joined forces to help Mexico defeat the French. Therefore, celebrating this holiday with children can be more than just a source of fun; it can be used to teach them about history and politics.

The decorations are an important part of any party

The decor is one of the most important parts of the party. The number five should be displayed prominently throughout the room, and all the colors of the Mexican flag should be represented. At least one actual Mexican flag should be included. Things will liven up by the addition of balloons and streamers.

3 Children love being able to make something different and fun out of ordinary objects. Give each child a paper plate and cup with which to make their own sombero. Glue the cup to the center of the plate, and have the children add pom-poms, string or ribbon to decorate. These crafts are a fun addition to the party and they'll have fun with their new festive hats.

Making Maracas is Easy

Another use of paper cups is to make maracas. All the children need to do is fill one cup with beans or other items that will clack together. Then just tape another cup on top of the first one (with both open ends facing together so that the items can slide between the two cups).

Give It a Mexican Twist

With a bit of imagination, any child's party game can become a "juego de fiesta." Give a traditional party game a fresh angle and some bright Mexican colors to tranfrom it into a fun Cinco de Mayo activity.

As an alternative to Pin the Tail on the Donkey, try making a game with a famous Mexican figure, like Pin the Medal on Benito Juarez (a victorious Mexican general). To give your musical chairs game a Mexican feel, play some Mariachi music as the participants walk around. Similarly, you could incorporate Spanish words into games like charades, or play Pictionary with Mexican terms (like a sombrero or an enchilada.)

Folk Dancers

If you want to add a little extra to the activities, find some Mexican folk dancers to teach the kids traditional dances. The children will not only have fun, but will learn about Mexican heritage from the dancers. Add a little more authenticity to the experience by making (or getting) skirts for the girls and hats for the boys — this might be a fun craft activity earlier in the party.

It Doesn't Have to Be Complicated

If you want to go to a lot of trouble, you can of course — but keep in mind that the children will primarily remember the fun they had with each other and not the homemade cake shaped like a five colored like the Mexican flag. The party can be quite simple. Keep the games going, and make sure there are plenty of snacks and the kids will remember it being fun (and probably learn a few things about Mexican culture in the process).

Effective Vegetable Garden Fertilization Methods

by Dave Truman

Fertilizer is an important part of a successful garden, but using the wrong one or using the right one the wrong way can cause problems. Overuse is one of the most common problems, especially in the case of slow-release fertilizers.

Slow release fertilizers are designed to release their nutrients over a period of time and if you apply them too often, you may wind up overlapping the new with the old that has not fully released yet.

Always make sure you read the directions for the fertilizers you're using in your garden. In most cases, they will say how often they should be applied.

There are 3 components to fertilizer: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. They're rated by the amount of each of these ingredients. They will have a number, such as 20-20-20, which indicates how much of each is included. The first number is the nitrogen content, the second is the phosphorus and the third is the potassium.

Each of the three components of fertilizer promotes different types of growth. Nitrogen promotes leaf and stem growth, phosphorus helps with fruits and strong root systems and potassium helps to strengthen the plants.

Initially, a complete fertilizer will help to get your plants started properly. After growth has begun, be careful not to over-fertilize with nitrogen, which can make the plant put too much energy into growing leaves and stems, making the fruit growth suffer in turn.

There are many types of fertilizer available, some chemical based and others organic. Consider where you will be using them when choosing which type to use.

If you're growing vegetables that you will be eating, you might want to think twice before using chemical fertilizers - after all, would you want to put that stuff in your body?

Safe Pregnancy Exercises Even If You Haven't Been Excercising Before

Let’s face it, ladies, not all of us have taken the best care of ourselves.  Quite often, we've overeaten, been inactive, and didn't really think of the consequences.  Then we start thinking about having children and we vow to do better, especially when we find out we’re expecting.

Ok, so excercise is good for me

No one can dispute the benefits of exercise on the body.  These benefits are equally, if not more, important for an expectant mom.  So, unless you have limitations that will keep you from exercising, take your doctor’s advice and get active.

And there are benefits from finding safe pregnancy excercises:

  1. Helps you feel better by giving you a boost of energy, helps you relax, relieves backaches, reduces constipation, helps maintain your joints, and helps you sleep better at night. (And you’d better sleep well now; sleep is often a distant memory once the baby arrives!)
  2. Helps you look better by increasing the blood flow to your skin.  This helps you have a healthy glow and can be helpful for maintaining beautiful hair.
  3. Prepares you for birth by developing strong muscles and a fit heart.  These can be very helpful during delivery.  By learning to breathe properly during exercise, it can translate to less pain during labor.
  4. Helps you return to pre-pregnancy weight by keeping you from gaining as much weight during your pregnancy.  Your priority in exercising while pregnant isn’t to lose weight, it’s to develop and maintain a good fitness level so you’ll be healthy during your entire pregnancy.

Safe pregnancy excercises - five of them:

Walking - This is the easiest, cheapest, and best all-around exercise while pregnant.  You’re not jarring your joints, you can adjust your pace to meet the terrain, and you can do it without buying any special equipment.  Walk at a quick pace for at least a mile, three days a week.  Don’t forget to start out slowly for five minutes and then slow down and cool down for five minutes at the end of your walk.

Swimming - The buoyancy of the water may be just the thing you need in your late pregnancy.  This time will give you a chance to feel weightless as well as helping to build your muscles and develop good breathing techniques.  Water aerobics may be another option for you, since it doesn’t stress the joints.

Running - Ok - this one is probably only a good idea if you were somewhat in shape before you became pregnant. If you previously ran at some point before pregnancy, you may still be able to run while pregnant.  Check with your doctor to make sure it’s okay with them.  Don’t overexert yourself while running; pace yourself to avoid injury, especially as your center of gravity changes over the length of your pregnancy.

Low-impact aerobics - Maybe you can find a pregnancy-friendly aerobics class.  You want to avoid jarring motions, for the baby’s sake, as well as your joints.  However, low-impact aerobics may be what the doctor ordered.  Go slow, listen to your body, and enjoy the camaraderie.

Yoga or Pilates - These exercises can be tailored for pregnant ladies.  You can stretch and maintain flexibility, which will be important for birth.  They also help you relax while they strengthen your body.

Safe excercise is important for a good pregnancy

These five exercises for moms who didn’t exercise before pregnancy improve your pregnancy, and they will surely help during labor and delivery.  Don’t forget to listen to your body and follow your doctor’s orders.  You may find you’ve enjoyed yourself so much during pregnancy that you continue to exercise long after the baby is born.
