Let vinyl letters spell out style

by Lynn Lopez

Take a look at your walls or the walls in your friends’ houses, your office, restaurants, and shops. What do you notice? You probably notice the decorations: framed artworks, framed photographs, shelves, wall clocks, mounted figurines, calendars. Sure, they’re all very nice and help decorate the walls, but a little too standard and predicted, don’t you think? You would probably explore another decorating alternative if you knew something else could help make your walls looks more attractive. Putting writing on your walls could be something you might be interested in.

“Writing on walls?” you’re probably asking. “Like graffiti?” No, it’s more like sticking letters made out of vinyl onto your walls. When you first hear about it, it doesn’t sound very impressive, but when you see the effect of vinyl letters on your wall for yourself, you’re going to want some for your own walls, too! Vinyl letters are thin letterings made out of vinyl and come with a light adhesive that is strong enough to keep the letters in place, yet light enough so that you can peel off the letters easily when you need to take them out. Sticking them on does not require any tools; all you need is a clean bare surface which can showcase your letters to full effect.

One of the advantages of vinyl writing on walls is the fact that they make for a truly unique display that anyone can easily use. Vinyl letters also make a statement: your own. You can have your favorite quote or inspirational poem displayed on your walls or even a simple thing like your child’s name or your business name. It’s up to you what you want the letters to spell out, or if you can’t make up your mind, you can order ready-made quotes from the company that provides vinyl letters.

Where else can you use vinyl lettering? Well, if you’re having a party, instead of using large banners that detract from the party’s decorations, you can instead have vinyl letters spelling out the name of the event or the celebrants affixed to the walls of the venue; the effect will look much classier than banners or posters.

In choosing vinyl letters for your walls, you must already have a certain look in mind. Companies offering vinyl letters have a large selection of fonts and typefaces that will suit the look you’re going for. You can also select symbols or decals that can add a flashier look to the writing on your walls, making them look even more stunning.
